About Us

HONK is changing the parking industry through its digital parking payment solutions. Founded in 2013, we're transforming parking experiences across North America. We offer users cashless, ticketless, and frictionless parking solutions, through our unified parking management platform.

Our culture at HONK is characterized by innovation, teamwork, and a desire to effect real change. We're a vibrant, diverse team determined to disrupt the traditional parking landscape. By joining us, you'll contribute to making parking more efficient, convenient and user-friendly.

Who We Are

Our software engineering team is composed of dedicated and pragmatic builders. We embrace the ideas and principles of Agile but shun the rigid structure that often accompanies it. Here, everyone checks their ego at the door and is encouraged to contribute not only code but all their talents.

We foster a Remote/Hybrid-first work culture with flexible hours. The ability to work remotely from anywhere in the world on a short-term basis is available. Ultimately, our primary focus is on getting the job done (and having fun while doing it).

About the Role

HONK is looking to add a detail oriented QA Tester to assist in keeping product velocity at optimal levels. You'll join a well-established engineering team (Including QA) known for delivering high-quality code at a high velocity. At HONK the QA and software engineering team is integrated and work together towards the same goal.

HONK is looking for a QA Tester to assist across it's parking platform from our payment processing kernel to the consumer facing mobile applications. We have invested heavily into our automation and CI/CD pipeline so most of our time and energy is applied to the higest value areas/most interesting, not regression testing.

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Define and maintain test plans
  • Test specifications for functional, regression and performance testing
  • Find clear reproduction steps for issues reported by customers
  • Verify builds for quality prior to production deployment
  • Translate high-level business requirements into test scenario
  • API Testing (RESTful/GraphQL)

Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years of experience software QA. Both manual and automated testing
  2. Hands-on experience with mobile testing
  3. Familiarity with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, or similar)
  4. Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or Insomnia
  5. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI, GitHub Actions)
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Bonus: Experience with Rainforest QA, or Testim
