JOB TITLE:                                   Project Site Coordinator

JOB PURPOSE:

The Project Site Coordinator is based at a designated job site and is responsible for assisting in the management of medium-large scale institutional decarbonization projects ($5M - $100M retrofits) to ensure they are completed on time and on budget while upholding the highest safety and quality standards. This includes interacting with project managers, subcontractors, consultants, clients and other stakeholders on-site. The Project Site Coordinator will drive continuous project improvements and align with Blackstone’s Health and Safety, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI+B) initiatives.


The Project Site Coordinator is the key on site point person for Blackstone to ensure that project management best practices, proper documentation and departmental processes are being adhered to while driving customer satisfaction and internal profitability. The role requires close collaboration with the Project Management Team, Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Engineers to ensure project deliverables are met.

SCOPE OF WORK/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the construction management for major industrial, healthcare and higher education retrofit projects, including the management of on-site operations, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders. 
  • Support the procurement process, including tendering, negotiation, and contract management. 
  • Monitor project performance to ensure budget and schedule are met and construction period energy savings targets are achieved. 
  • Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project timelines throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Manage scope changes, technical challenges, and project costs in line with budgets. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams from project design through to completion. 
  • Ensure on site compliance with project designs, specifications, and regulations. 
  • Maintain and strengthen client and project delivery team relationships to meet expectations and ensure satisfaction. 
  • Support the Client Satisfaction Survey process, including distribution, analysis, and tracking. 
  • Attend internal and external project meetings and prepare relevant presentation materials and reporting. 
  • Coordinate and attend occasional after-hours and weekend construction activities such as planned power outages, crane lifts, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all Blackstone, client and legislative Health & Safety policies on each assigned project. 
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, current, and in line with branding and formatting standards. 
  • Administer and guide project deliveries according to Blackstone’s processes and policies. 
  • Assist with proposal reviews, quoting, and document preparation. 
  • Continuously review and improve departmental processes and documentation to meet team goals and maintain high standards. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. 
  • Cooperate and support interdepartmental, interdivisional, intercompany goals, directives and initiatives endorsed by the Corporation as and when required.


NOTES:


  • Must have a reliable vehicle to ensure transportation to and from site, 5 days a week
