Job Description
This role will report to the Project Management Lead. Project Managers works with our Systems Integrators and Systems Engineers within our professional services organization to deliver value to our end users, channel partners, and OTTO Motors. As a Project Manager, you will coordinate project deliverables and serving as the contact between customers and other departments. Your goal is to manage the efforts of team members to ensure our projects are delivered on time and ensure our customers' needs are met. PMs collaborate with others within our professional services organization to establish guidelines and best practices for how OTTO Motors products can be used by the market, specifically by our integrator network. The role is Hybrid based in Kitchener, ON.
Your Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: define project scope, goals and deliverables, and create and manage project timelines/schedule and cost to ensure time completion of project; develop detailed work plans, project estimates, and resource plans
- Project Reporting: provide periodic updates including project status reports, financial reports (EACs, budget reconciliation), and regular KPIs
- Budget and Resource Management: develop and manage project budgets, allocate and improve resources, while controlling project expenditures
- Communication: Conduct project meetings and take responsibility for project tracking and analysis; communicate necessary information to the rest the project team as well as broader product teams
- Stakeholder Management: commwith stakeholders at all levels; manage customer relationships and expectations
- Risk and Opportunity Management: identify and assess R&Os, develop risk and capture plans
- Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices and lessons learned
- Problem Solving: Analyze project issues and develop solutions, anticipate potential problems and proactively address them, communicate project goals and status, while resolving conflict.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Ability to travel for business; 20 - 25 % travel commitment over the year (travel mostly contained to Canada and USA). Trips to site would typically range from a couple of days to 1-2 weeks
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- 3+ years of project management experience in an environment with multi-disciplined technical team members
- Mechanical/Mechatronics/Controls background
- PMP or working towards PMP designation
- JIRA Experience
