As a Project Manager, you will be a key member of a team of dynamic and passionate professionals. The role will assist with functional and technical knowledge and help with the deployment of complex projects and support large programs. Your responsibilities also include proactive planning to get ahead of delivery, field issues, and data reporting challenges. You will be liaising with partners in Research Operations to execute projects and ensure end-to-end execution to meet internal and client timelines.
What you can expect to be doing:
In this role, you will manage multiple survey-based market research projects at once, within timeline and budgets, including working closely with colleagues in our Operations groups to oversee all components of projects:
Operations Management
- Support and follow operational processes to deliver against a custom-designed program
- Act as an effective liaison with operations and other internal departments, as well as external vendors
- Quality check study questionnaires & perform in-depth quality checks at every stage of the process
- Liaising with our internal operations leads within scripting and field management
- Perform data verification at field stage and during reporting
- Identify and solve project issues as they arise
Project Design & Management
- Manage the setup, launch and monitoring of research projects
- Support in questionnaire design
- Develop analysis (tabulation) plans
- Working with automation team to ensure correct setup and quality of deliverables
- Link checking for both online and offline programs
- Desk research, including brand logo gathering and review
- Assisting file management and assisting in keeping all project documentation accurate and up to date
- Continuously look for ways to add value and find efficiencies
Data Analysis
- Basic data runs and checks
- Quality checking data tables, including validation of banner break creation, nets, and new variable creation
- Analyze data and draw conclusions; prepare reports and presentations; make recommendations based on the insights that address the client’s business needs
Financial Rigour
- Assist in coordinating and collecting cost information from various teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Ensure projects are within budget and timelines and investigate overage and report issues and resolutions to management when needed
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate records of all invoices, ensuring timely documentation, verification, and processing of payments
This might be the job for you if you have:
- 2+ years of experience in a research environment (research firm experience an asset).
- Requires strong quantitative, research, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to oversee and direct multiple projects, including keeping track of budgets and timelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce clean, client-ready deliverables.
- Ability to review the work of others for data accuracy, formatting, and adherence to style guide.
- Must be self-motivated and entrepreneurial (i.e., ability to think independently).
- Intellectually curious with a desire to better understand the “why” behind the data.
- Works well in a team environment with senior and junior colleagues.
- Bachelor’s Degree required – market research, marketing, and/or business coursework/programs are an asset.
In accordance with Ontario & British Columbia law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $55,000-$57,000 CAD. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discrimatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
