Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead our New Products & Activities Team (NP&A, Public Markets) within our Technology & Operations group.   The NP&A team works collaboratively with technologists, business stakeholders and investment professional across the Fund to implement/launch new investment products & manage regulatory changes in support of our public market investments & strategies.  In this role, you will be responsible the full project lifecycle, from in-take request, prioritization and planning to execution as well as talent & performance management of direct reports within the team.

Key Accountabilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum, to manage projects effectively.
  • Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required governance standards.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to foster a positive and productive working environment.

Talent Management:

  • Grow your team of professionals through performance management, coaching, & up-skilling
  • Embrace & foster a culture of diversity through inclusive behaviours & practices

Process Improvement:

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of project management processes and best practices
  • Identify & implement tools and techniques to enhance project efficiency & effectiveness

Qualifications

If you possess the following, we’d like to hear from you

Experience: Demonstrable & progressive experience in project management leading multiple simultaneous initiatives, with a focus on capital markets and preferably with experience launching new investment products and/or regulatory changes

Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the capital markets, cash & derivative products, including trade life cycle management

Agile & Scrum: Extensive experience working in Agile environments, with a deep understanding of Scrum principles and practices.

Tools: Proficiency in project management tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, across multiple business groups and at various seniority levels.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.

Designations/Certifications: Completed and/or working towards any of the following: CFA, PMP, CAPM, CSM, Six Sigma
