Job Description

As the Project Manager at Rockwell Automation, you will be responsible for the effective planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of large-scale, strategic, and complex power control projects, ensuring that customer requirements are fulfilled from the initial order through to final acceptance.

You will be accountable for overseeing all aspects of the project, ensuring effective communication of priorities, delivering on project expectations, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks within a cross-functional team. Throughout, the project manager will consistently represent the best interests of the organization. You will report to the Team Lead, Project Management Office. You will work Hybrid in Cambridge, ON.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage execution of assigned projects within the project budget and customer schedule.
  • Lead and Manage project members of cross-functional teams and third-party service providers and suppliers while maintaining overview and communication of the assigned projects.
  • Primary customer contact for all post sales activities from handover to completion and will maintain the communication strategy as agreed with the customer.
  • Meet set project margins. Monitor and reconcile actual project estimates.
  • Responsible for 3rd Party equipment, purchases, delivery and technical-commercial monitoring.
  • Independently manage project risks, resulting in proactive contingency planning.
  • Prepare and negotiate customer Change Orders.
  • Provide presentations to project stakeholders and management on project status, margin forecast, lessons learned.
  • Ensures that all project administration is completed and project files are maintained according to RA standards
  • Promotes good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to pressure situations with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Strong skills in identifying and resolving problems.

The Essential: You will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Travel requirements: up to 25%, combined domestic and international. Must be able and willing to travel to the customer sites, including industrial plants for project meetings.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • PMP Certification.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management in an Engineered-To-Order manufacturing environment.
  • Broad level of experience in power components and systems with multiple industries and applications
  • Must partner and engage with internal and external team members, vendors.

For this role, the total target compensation is from $99,680.00 - $149,520.00 CAD Annual. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
