What it’s like to be a Northbridge Corporate Underwriting Project Manager

Our Project Managers play a crucial role in our Corporate Underwriting team.  You will be responsible for providing leadership to the team under the guidance and mentorship of the directors. As a Project Manager you will work closely with our Underwriting Directors and teams by tracking and delivering key corporate underwriting projects of various size and complexity. In this collaborative role it is important that you are able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure that the Corporate Underwriting team is highly functional.  

As the Project Manager, you will be leading in the planning and coordination of detailed work plans, project schedules, estimates, and resource plans while building strong relationships with business areas both inside and outside the work unit.

If you are great at:

  • Defining project scopes, risks, timelines, and measures of success

  • Leading the development of Change Management plans

  • Having excellent leadership abilities to guide and direct project staff

  • Creating and maintaining project management documentations and best practices

  • Critical thinking, analytical capabilities and decision-making

If you have:

  • Post-secondary education and / or equivalent on the job experience.

  • PMP designation or equivalent project management experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Project Management role

  • Excellent understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (both Waterfall and Iterative).

  • Knowledge of use case methodology.

  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
