Job Description

Role: Project Coordinator
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: Fulltime
BGV will be done for the selected candidates.
Project Coordinator for storage migration (should have some basic knowledge in storage).

The Migration Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the project produces the required deliverables, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time. The Coordinator is normally responsible for medium to large complexity and or medium to large risk projects. This will include managing the governance, Scope, scheduling, communications, planning & tracking, terms & conditions and risk management of the migration to ensure streamlined migration. The Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling the migration after getting required downtime (outage) from business and to ensure the minimum impact steady state business and working of the application.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manages the delivery of the project and production of the required products / deliverables in partnership with the customer and delivery units to ensure acceptance, closedown and handover to service.
Reports to the relevant stakeholders through regular Status Reports.
Manages business and project risks and produces an effective plan and risk assessment so that impact to timeframe and project understood and mitigated.
Establishes and maintains the Change Control (CC) for their project against agreed plans.
Manage activities of project resources, forecast and establish the project team and align the resources for the migration.
KEY MEASUREMENTS
Key elements by which resources at that level are measured:
Project delivered within contractual obligations - on time, high quality and within budget
Client Satisfaction targets per client survey
Governance, risk management and other explicit control requirements adherence
Contribute to professional community through production and reusable content from other projects and lessons learned
Contribution to business development thru identification of new opportunities
Migration Coordinator Mandatory Skills
IT project coordination experience
Detailed understanding of project management methodologies
High level conceptual understanding of IT domains (desktop, server, network, applications, storage, database)
Ability to communicate at senior levels and good commercial and influencing skills
Experience in the projects in a Client facing capacity
Server hardware/virtual refresh
Operating Systems migrations and upgrades (Window, Linux etc.)
Application Decom. , Upgrade.
