Series Lead

CanAtom Power Group is the joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon which has been awarded contracts with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for various Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) scopes at both Darlington and Pickering B.

The Series Lad will report to the Project Manager or the Pickering RFBR Deputy Project Director, Tooling and will be responsible for the coordination of work in the Tooling on the Pickering RFBR project. This role will require continuous communication with all project team members, coordinating progress of work, and helping preparation of project progress reports.

This role will be based in Whitby / Pickering, ON.

Your role within the team:

  • Liaise with key stakeholders as required generally including Tooling team members, other project work groups and the client.
  • Responsible to implement the tooling schedule for assigned engineering, procurement, and testing phases.
  • Follow up with team members and raise issues to management as required.
  • Collecting progress and preparation of reports and meeting minutes.
  • Interface with project controls to update cost and schedule reporting metrics.
  • Ensure work is performed within quality program requirements.
  • Ensure a strong nuclear safety culture is reinforced continuously.
  • Guide junior team members in achieving project results.
  • Support the Tooling Managers and Deputy Project Director, Tooling in executing the scope of RFBR Tooling, as required.

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum 2 years of nuclear industry experience.
  • Experience supporting various types of projects including tooling or manufacturing projects.
  • University degree or equivalent, BSc in Engineering considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of nuclear project work, project management, estimating and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Working Experience with Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Outlook and Teams, Power BI, MS Project.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and customer relationship skills and a team player.
  • Must have the ability to handle all matters in a confidential and professional manner.
