Validate, deploy, and support the digital shop floor systems for our new state-of-the-industry flu manufacturing facility (Building 200) at the Toronto site.

As a part of the Project B200 Digital Team, you will support the implementation, validation and support of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Data Historian System (DHS) with interfaces to the plant wide control systems and small equipment.

Note: Due to the nature of the job, it is expected that all work be performed on site unless otherwise arranged with and approved by Sanofi. This position requires flu vaccination and participation in a rotating on-call system.

Main responsibilities:

  • Digital systems validation activities including installation qualifications, systems integration testing, infrastructure commissioning, configuration and deployment of workstations, deployment, and qualifications of benchtop interfaces.

  • Update and maintain all documentation deliverables consistent with Sanofi Digital methodology and generally accepted industrial standards.

  • Ensure changes are approved and documented as per change control process. Execute all tasks based on the project plan / validation plan.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues on other capital projects and site initiatives, as well as other teams and departments, especially Production, Engineering, Validation and QA.

  • Support procurement and co-ordination requirements for capital projects as part of the Toronto Digital team.

  • Ensure that the solution being provided follows standard pharmaceutical industry practices (e.g. GxP).

  • Report incidences having potential impact to security, IT services, health / safety, and GxP.

  • Adhere to code of ethics and other Sanofi policy related to transparency and good corporate citizenship.

About you

  • Degree in Engineering and/or 3+ years of experience in an IT or automation environment

  • Good understanding of IT Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC) and Project Management Methodologies.

  • Excellent technical writing skills and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent analytical, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders (customers, end-users, sponsor, vendor, project team, extended team, etc) to develop relationships, identify and define requirements/gaps, and educate users.

  • Ability to adapt to changes and various paces within a project.

  • Prior experience with OSIsoft PI or another data historian is advantageous.

  • Prior experience with Werum PAS-X or another MES system is advantageous.

  • Prior experience with SAP or another ERP is advantageous.
