The Program Management, Lead will be responsible for the ongoing growth and development of Interac’s products and contribute towards new product development initiatives. They will use their knowledge and judgement to align diverse groups internally and externally while analyzing the potential and risk of various opportunities to solve market needs. 

You'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the cross-functional development team in ensuring that Product Backlog Items (PBIs) have adequate detail to facilitate squads in estimating their work.  

  • Providing expertise and coaching in product backlog decomposition, ensuring that all PBIs track towards achieving the stated objectives and key results.  

  • In conjunction with the Product Owner, defining and articulating User Personas to help the product development team understand the needs, motivations, goals, behaviours, and preferences of the target audience. 

  • Laying out constraints for non-functional considerations with advice from technical experts in the areas of User Design, Fraud Prevention and Technology Architecture. 

  • Guiding the squad in objective and key result clarification. Bringing the ability to define key result measurement methods, while supporting the Product Owner in partnering with the development team to iteratively deliver valuable product functionality that accomplishes these objectives. 

  • Defining the governance structure for the product, identifying internal & external stakeholders, engaging them in a timely fashion. 

  • Working with product leaders to create product plans and roadmaps based on market research. 

  • Driving insights from varied sources of data into actionable business strategies. Forecasting and delivering product volume growth and providing recommendations for product or service improvements based on market research. 

  • Confidently communicating detailed information in an impactful way, to external and internal stakeholders. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Interac’s partners and customers and fostering open two-way communication as a trusted advisor and brand representative. 

You bring:

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity. 

  • A demonstration of the Agile mindset, and strong experience in problem-solving within Agile environments.   

  • 5-6 years of hands-on experience as a Product Manager with the ability to solve issues and coordinate across teams.  

  • Demonstrated success leading product strategy & execution from concept to launch.  

  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and complex stakeholder management. 

  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, governance, and sales. 

  • The ability to partner with the technology team to drive releases and roll-out enhanced features/products quickly.  

  • Strong alliance/partnership and relationship management skills.  

  • Advanced communication skills, both written and oral, to ensure plans, product development, and strategy are clearly communicated, understood, and effectively applied.  

  • Strong planning, analytical and evaluation skills, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. 

  • A passion for delivering delightful customer solutions and a strong interest in emerging technology.
