Job Description

You will lead the development and execution of production goals across safety, quality, customer delivery, and financial performance. It involves strategic resource planning, capacity forecasting, and managing a high-mix, customized manufacturing environment. We ask that you have strong leadership in personnel development, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement. You will report to the Production Manager and will be on-site working in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop capacity plans and output forecasts based on customer demand and labor variability.
  • Coordinate production schedules, shift transitions, and daily order requirements.
  • Analyze backlogs, labor efficiency, and productivity metrics to optimize performance.
  • Maintain manufacturing systems and ensure completion of administrative tasks.
  • Select, hire, and evaluate team members; provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Foster a culture of high communication, mutual respect, and employee engagement.
  • Implement training programs and promote compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Lead with integrity, especially during organizational change, promoting resilience and adaptability.
  • Champion Lean Six Sigma initiatives and lead Kaizen events.
  • Drive waste reduction and process optimization across operations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Align goals with business objectives.
  • Understand and respond to customer needs to deliver strategic value.
  • Manage departmental budgets and expenses in line with business conditions.
  • Promote collaboration and accountability to achieve business and customer objectives.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Technology, or related) or Business (Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline)
  • 5+ years experience in supervision/engineering in an electrical or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.

For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $90,480 - $135,720 with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
