YOUR IMPACT

As a Product Owner, you will serve as the critical link between business strategy and execution. You will collaborate with Product Management, stakeholders, and Agile teams to define, prioritize, and deliver value through features and user stories. The Product Owner is accountable for maximizing the value delivered by the team, ensuring alignment to business objectives, and continuously refining the team backlog to meet customer and market needs.

You will partner closely with Product Managers to understand strategy and vision, and then translate that into actionable backlogs and stories that guide Agile development teams. You will ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and continuously refined, helping teams deliver high-quality solutions in alignment with customer and business outcomes.

  • Backlog Ownership: Own, manage, and refine the team backlog, ensuring features and stories are well defined with clear acceptance criteria and prioritized to maximize value delivery.
  • Alignment with Strategy: Work with Product Management to understand the product vision, roadmap, and priorities, ensuring team-level execution aligns with organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with customers, business stakeholders, and partners to gather feedback, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment with needs and expectations.
  • Iteration Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the team to plan iterations, define sprint goals, and support delivery of high-value features. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Feature Definition: Translate high-level features and epics into detailed user stories with acceptance criteria. Ensure stories are testable, valuable, and feasible.
  • Customer-Centric Decision Making: Use customer insights, feedback, and data to inform priorities and trade-offs.
  • Dependency & Risk Management: Identify dependencies across teams, escalate blockers, and support trade-off decisions to meet commitments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion Agile practices, support team collaboration, and contribute to a culture of curiosity, respect, and accountability.
  • Metrics & Outcomes: Define and track relevant product metrics, ensuring delivered features achieve desired business and customer outcomes.
  • Release Readiness: Support feature validation, documentation, and release activities to ensure successful delivery to customers.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile practices, backlog management, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, UX, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance business priorities and technical trade-offs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Agile product management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, Confluence).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
