About the role

  • We are seeking an experienced Product Owner – Order Management System (OMS) with strong OMS expertise to lead the development and transformation of a custom Order Management System supporting both B2C and B2B commerce. The ideal candidate will possess deep domain knowledge and the ability to translate complex business workflows into scalable product capabilities within a modern, microservices-based architecture.
  • This role requires a strong ability to reverse-engineer existing OMS platforms, define future-state product capabilities, and drive disciplined quarterly execution across PODs.

Essential Functions

  • Own and manage the OMS product backlog, roadmap, and feature prioritization
  • Translate business requirements into detailed features, user stories, and acceptance
  • criteria
  • Drive end-to-end delivery for assigned PODs, ensuring timely execution and quality outcomes
  • Partner with stakeholders to align product initiatives with business objectives
  • Define and deliver core OMS capabilities including order capture, orchestration, inventory management, fulfillment, and returns
  • Ensure product capabilities support both B2C and B2B commerce workflows
  • Optimize order lifecycle processes for efficiency, scalability, and customer experience
  • Analyze existing OMS implementations, workflows, and integrations
  • Identify business rules, operational edge cases, and system dependencies
  • Translate current-state processes into future-state product features, workflows, and scalable solutions
  • Define quarterly product goals, milestones, and measurable outcomes
  • Break down objectives into POD-level execution plans and sprint deliverables
  • Ensure predictable feature delivery through disciplined planning and tracking
  • Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies across delivery teams
  • Work closely with engineering teams on API-first and microservices-based architecture
  • Define and prioritize integrations with eCommerce, ERP, payment, shipping, and thirdparty platforms
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and project managers for successful
  • product releases


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar product leadership role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS)
  • Experience with custom OMS solutions or enterprise OMS platforms such as IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan OMS, or Fluent Commerce
  • Strong understanding of order lifecycle management, inventory control, fulfillment operations, and returns processing
  • Experience supporting both B2C and B2B commerce business models
  • Proven ability to manage product backlogs, roadmaps, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in remote or hybrid environments


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Retail, eCommerce, or omnichannel commerce environments
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience working within distributed Agile POD structures
  • Familiarity with modern API ecosystems and enterprise integrations
