Your role and responsibilities:

Xanadu is a quantum photonic hardware company, and an industry leader in the burgeoning area of quantum software and quantum cloud services. In this role, you will be a Product Operations Manager in Xanadu’s software team, supporting our portfolio of quantum software applications and products, including open-source libraries and web applications for quantum researchers, learners, and educators. You will be responsible for managing the systems, processes, and bringing actionable insights to the team, enabling our product vision and strategy.

  • Operational Support & Optimization:
    • Working with a cross-functional team of developers, product managers, marketing, designers, and content creators, to plan, coordinate, and ensure timely execution of priority features
    • Facilitating communication during the product development cycle to ensure timelines are met, input from stakeholders is gathered, and plans for mitigating delays or resource constraints are in place
    • Establishing and implementing systems, tools, and processes that enable the execution and analysis of Xanadu’s product vision and strategy, while ensuring consistent standards across the product organization
  • Product Analytics & Insights
    • Equipping product managers with data-driven, actionable product and market insights by collecting, updating, and analysing data
    • Taking ownership of the product development cycle for specified products, including reviews and feedback, iteration planning, and quality assurance

Basic qualifications and experience:

  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with product management
  • Experience with scientific research processes and tools
  • Ability to manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in collaboration with different stakeholders
  • Ability to translate high-level, highly technical concepts into clear and effective requirements for developers
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication, Education, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ years of Project Management experience for a technical, scientific, or software product, preferably in a deep tech field
  • Experience with the scientific Python ecosystem or other open-source projects
  • Experience with techniques to enhance user enjoyment and engagement
  • Experience with quantum computing or machine learning
  • Track record in working closely with software developers and technical writers to execute on project deliverables
  • Experience with version control tools and services (Git, GitHub)
