Eligibility to Apply

Location: This remote-first position is exclusively for candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We will only consider applicants who are currently residing in Toronto and surrounding areas.

The Team

Connectivity builds the core APIs, SDKs, and tooling that unify multiple providers and protocols (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, IMAP/SMTP, CalDAV) into a single developer-friendly surface. We operate with a high degree of autonomy, and each Product Manager owns high-impact problem spaces that directly move developer experience, adoption, and customer outcomes.

The Role

We’re hiring a Product Manager to own a subset of the Connectivity Suite (Email, Calendar, Contacts), set a clear vision for these products aligned with the business vision, and drive post-signup growth. You’ll work with Engineering, Design, PMM, and Customer Success (CSM) to ship high-quality, high-impact capabilities while improving the end-to-end developer journey (docs → first API call → production).

While we operate as a distributed company, this Product Manager role requires you to be based in the Greater Toronto Area for collaboration with our Toronto-based team and clients. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and currently reside within the GTA.

What You’ll Do
  • Own a major product area from the Nylas product portfolio.

  • Continuously refine the product vision using customer, market, and internal signals, and translate it into a clear, prioritized roadmap.

  • Build a strong understanding of the market and competition, and turn insights into actions & outcomes.

  • Partner with Engineering on trade-offs, sequencing, and risk, keeping quality and reliability high.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with PMM, Design, Docs, Sales, CSM, and Support (SUP) teams, maintaining a high degree of trust.

What You Must Bring
  • 3+ years in product management on technical products (ideally APIs, platforms, data pipelines, or developer tools).

  • Comfortable learning, understanding, and communicating technical subject matter with ease.

  • Demonstrated execution in fast-paced environments with strong ownership and bias for action.

  • Creative, status-quo-challenging mindset; you push beyond conventional solutions and turn constraints into opportunities.

  • Comfortable running rapid experiments and shipping lightweight improvements to validate growth opportunities.

Nice to Have
  • Experience in software development that helps you empathize with developers, speak their language, and design solutions that feel natural to their workflow.

  • Prior work improving developer onboarding (Quickstarts, samples, CLIs, SDKs, docs).

Interview Process
  • Round 1: 30 minute Google Meet discussion with the Hiring Manager

  • Round 2: 60 minute Google Meet technical assessment (may include a take-home assignment)

  • Round 3: 45 minute Google Meet discussion with the President

  • Round 4: Four (4) 45 minute Google Meet interviews with various team members (max 4 hours).

During the various discussions, candidates selected to meet with us are strongly encouraged to not only discuss their knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities but also to showcase examples of their current or previous work. We expect you to clearly outline the "what," "why," and "how" behind your contributions.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 CAD. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications, which are objectively assessed during the interview process. Factors influencing salary include knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities.

Nylas is registered as an employer in many, but not all, states/provinces. If you are not located in or able to work from a state/province where Nylas is registered, you will not be eligible for employment. Visa sponsorship may not be available in certain remote locations.
