What you'll be doing

Simplii Financial is a modern, customer-first organization, and our Product Managers are the people who make that real every day. As a Product Manager at Simplii, you are embedded in a squad where you contribute to meaningful product work across discovery, delivery, and iteration. You support the definition of what gets built and why, help maintain a healthy backlog, and work closely with designers, engineers, and analysts to move work forward with clarity and purpose. You are developing your product instincts and building the skills that will make you a confident, independent product practitioner.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Discovery and customer insight - You contribute to structured discovery, analyze customer data to surface patterns, and help build business cases that connect customer need to product opportunity. You are developing your ability to frame problems clearly and bring a customer lens to squad conversations.

  • Backlog and delivery support - You help maintain a clear, prioritized backlog and write well-formed user stories with precise acceptance criteria. You work closely with engineering and design to keep delivery on track and flag when something has drifted from the original customer intent.

  • Outcome awareness - You track the metrics relevant to your squad's work and develop an understanding of what they mean for the customer and the business. You are building the habit of connecting what ships to what moves, and raising questions when the data is not telling a clear story.

  • Cross-functional collaboration - You work effectively across design, engineering, analytics, and operations, building relationships and contributing to shared squad goals. You are developing the communication and influence skills that will allow you to drive alignment independently over time.

  • Stakeholder communication - You communicate clearly and consistently with your immediate squad and partners. You are growing your ability to translate product complexity into accessible narratives for a broader audience.

Who you are

  • You have relevant experience. You bring 3 to 5 years of experience in product management or a closely related field, with a demonstrated ability to contribute to product delivery in a cross-functional environment, ideally within financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry.

  • You put the customer first, always. You start from the customer's perspective and keep it in view as the work evolves. You ask who this is for and why it matters to them, and you bring that question into the squad even when the work is deep in the details.

  • You are curious and evidence driven. You do not assume you know the answer. You ask questions, look at the data, and let what you find shape your thinking. You are developing the skill of turning insight into a clear point of view.

  • You sweat the details. You read user stories carefully, ask about edge cases, and notice when something does not quite line up with the customer intent. You understand that good product work lives in the details.

  • You take ownership of your scope. You do not wait to be told what needs attention within your area. You stay close to your work, follow through on your commitments, and ask for help when you need it rather than letting things drift.

  • You are a collaborative and reliable teammate. You show up prepared, communicate proactively, and contribute to a squad culture where people trust each other to do what they say they will do.

  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
