BIMM is booming, so we’re looking for a Product Manager, Mobile Applications to join our team. This will be a contract running from end of March to December 24, 2025 with potential to extend afterwards.

As we observe a hybrid model, this role will require you to be in office at BIMM HQ (Distillery District) up to 2 days per week.

Who we are

BIMM is a Toronto-based agency that lives at the intersection of data, technology, and creativity to provide clients with high-performing campaigns and digital products that shape connected customer experiences. We’ve helped our clients implement fully integrated CRM customer journeys, built robust digital experiences, and created national loyalty programs with decades of experience in sectors of automotive, financial, telco and retail.

We are creative realists, which means our ideas and solutions are grounded in the realities of our clients’ business. We believe big ideas are nothing without big results (and flawless execution); high-performing agencies deliver high-performing campaigns, products, and experiences; and the best solutions happen when we collaborate with clients as partners.

Who we’re looking for

You are passionate about amazing digital experiences, and constantly look to make those experiences better. Yes, you’re particular about every app you use and website you visit, and your friends and family don’t understand why it bugs you so much. You have been an integral part of conceptualizing, validating, and building a great product, either top to bottom, or certain features at a time, and you understand the importance of converting qualitative and quantitative data into winning digital experiences. You challenge stakeholders, developers and designers to push the limits of the technology and user experience to delight the user at every swipe.

Responsibilities

  • Set priorities with the developers/design team, working closely with the client Product Owner to build a backlog and ensure that user-stories are appropriately sized and clearly written.
  • Lead quarterly digital strategy planning with client Product Owner, deriving a strategic backlog for the team to execute on.
  • Be the point of contact with our client stakeholders, understanding the ‘why’ behind their business strategy and translating it into an actionable product strategy for your team.
  • Doesn’t shy away from getting their hands dirty: gathering and writing detailed PRDs, building and managing backlogs, working with developers on technical specs, collaborating with architects on feasibility and approach, and leaning on designers for UX/UI.
  • Bring a ‘product mentality’ to the table, going beyond the scope of the deliverable and thinking about the long-term viability and growth of the products and features you take to market.
  • Over-communicate all day, every day. Keep your team aligned to the client needs, keep the client informed of the daily challenge and progress, understand blockers and be relentless in helping them get over roadblocks.
  • Bring a sense of urgency to the tasks at hand, driving progress at a rapid pace that respects process but prioritizes traction. Deeply understanding requirements and keeping teams aligned to the vision, being ruthless about prioritization, and keeping the team focused.
  • Conduct workshops with vastly different stakeholders, pushing for internal alignment with the client before committing to scope.
  • Leverage a working knowledge of supporting architecture, thinking beyond the front-end and asking difficult questions about where data lives, how it moves, and what are the business processes behind the front end user experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Product Management role
  • Explicit experience working with designers and developers on native mobile applications, specifically with Swift and/or Kotlin. Bonus points for experience with React Native.
  • Can show tangible examples of products or features delivered to market on Android or iOS
  • Knowledge of best practices in product management around SDLC.
  • Proven ability to build, groom, and deliver on a product road map for a large scale product
  • Ability to write proper user stories including test and acceptance criteria
  • Drive and initiative are evident in your career, and you have been a major contributor to the success of a product launch.
  • Proven ability to run agile projects including all required sprint rituals
  • Strong Client relationship experience as you will work side by side with client stakeholders
  • Project management experience

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a SAFe Agile framework
  • Specific experience in product management for the automotive space

What’s in it for you?
