We are searching for the best talent for a Product Manager to join our J&J Surgical Vision Marketing team.  This position is based in Markham, Ontario, Canada. 

Purpose

The Product Manager (PM) will localize global strategy to drive product adoption and demand by defining product positioning and customer segmentation/targeting strategies for their defined portfolio.  The PM will interact with key stakeholders to develop relevant market insights, forecast demand, and ensure consistent product supply.  The individual will also develop relationships with Canadian Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and leading institutions to advance the market adoption of key portfolios.

Partnering with members of the Johnson & Johnson Vision, Surgical Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Excellence teams, the Product Manager enables positive business outcomes for specific JJVS portfolios. The Product Manager is responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies and adhering to global strategies.

The Product Manager needs to influence, align, and mobilize cross-functional teams (Sales, Medical Affairs, Commercial Excellence, Supply Chain, Finance, and Global Marketing) to deliver against shared business objectives in a complex, matrixed environment. The Product Manager demonstrates strong cross-functional leadership without direct authority, driving alignment across diverse stakeholders and competing priorities to achieve business outcomes.

The Product Manager will increase our competitive advantage with key customers by leveraging insights with key clinical customers, the sales team, and Health System administrators across Canada.

You will be responsible for:

  • Takes ownership for creation and implementation of complex and long-term strategic marketing plans, establishing priorities that include achievable milestones and deliverables.  Finds ways to effectively and compliantly align available resources to achieve a maximum benefit for the customer.
  • Leverages knowledge of the healthcare environment, emerging patient pathways, marketplace, and competitive landscape to identify future market forces and develop stakeholder networks to effectively position JJVS as the partner of choice.
  • Integrates financial acumen, data, analytics, and customer businesses to translate insights into business solutions.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams (including Sales, Medical Affairs, Commercial Excellence, Finance, and Supply Chain), ensuring alignment from strategy through execution to deliver integrated customer solutions.
  • Manage external relationships including our advertising agency, creative companies and suppliers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with global counterparts, field sales organizations and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Managing scenario plans and pricing, managing risks, and responding to foreseeable market dynamics
  • Forecasting products within the portfolio, including the monthly S&OP process, quarterly/annual reviews, and marketing budget responsibility
  • Ensures marketing and launch excellence through FUSE and LEX principles.
  • Develop and execute omnichannel marketing strategies, integrating personal and non-personal channels (digital, field engagement, events, and content platforms) to deliver a seamless and consistent customer experience.
  • Identify and activate direct-to-consumer (DTC) and patient engagement opportunities, where appropriate, to support awareness and demand generation within compliant healthcare marketing frameworks.
  • The PM functions as an ambassador for JJSV, its vision and values with patient centric focus, at all levels of the business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a university/bachelor’s degree is required, MBA is an asset.
  • Minimum of 6 years progressive sales/marketing/business experience is required.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong background in Account or Product Management, with proven record of successful implementation and execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, a strong customer focus, as well as excellent judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Experience working with or supporting private healthcare clinics, surgical centers or physician-led practices is considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication and collaboration/team building skills.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
  • Ability to travel 40% + of time in Canada.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $112,150 to $162,150 CAD.Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.Use of AI:The Company uses AI in its assessment of applicants.Job Vacancy:This job posting is for an existing position.
