Reporting to the Product Management Leader, the Lead Product Manager will be responsible for the development, delivery, and management of Interac Verified. Interac Verified™ offers a suite of secure verification and authentication solutions that enables Canadians to have convenient digital access to participating government and business services that require personal data verification. Leveraging decades of experience in delivering secure payments, Interac Verified enables businesses to digitally verify potential customer and client data to deliver faster, more efficient, and convenient access to online services.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Product Manager (Technical) to join our team. You will work closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to guide product roadmaps, ensuring that technical decisions are aligned with business needs. As a key member of the product squad, you will bridge the gap between market requirements, technical feasibility, and product delivery, contributing to the success of our software products.

This role requires a combination of strong technical knowledge, product management expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments to deliver cutting-edge solutions that drive business growth.

You'll be responsible for:

Product Strategy & Planning:

  • Product Roadmap: Define and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business goals and market opportunities.

  • Prioritization: Work with stakeholders to prioritize features based on impact, customer needs, and technical feasibility

  • Continuous Improvement: Work with teams to optimize processes and implement product improvements.

Technical Expertise

  • Technical Advisor: Bridge and translate the technical expertise about the platform and integration to the business stakeholders.

  • API & Integration: Manage API integrations and third-party tools.

  • Security & Compliance: Ensure the product meets security standards and compliance requirements.

  • Feature Definition: Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.

  • Feasibility & Backlog Management: Collaborate with engineering to assess technical feasibility and manage the product backlog.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Team Collaboration: Align efforts with engineering, clients, and support teams to ensure smooth product delivery.

  • Product Launch: Oversee product releases, ensuring quality and on-time delivery, while coordinating with marketing and sales for go-to-market strategies.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main contact for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing progress updates and insights.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Product Analytics: Measure key performance metrics and use data to drive product decisions and improvements.

  • User Feedback: Incorporate user feedback and analytics to refine the product and prioritize future enhancements.

You bring: 

  • Experience: 8+ years in technical product management, preferably in SaaS or software development.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and software development processes, with a background in software development, engineering, or IT. Experience in the digital identity verification industry

  • Agile Experience: Proficient in Agile and Scrum, including backlog management, writing user stories, and sprint planning.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze technical and business challenges and turn them into actionable plans.

  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with engineering, design, marketing, and business teams.

  • Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking skills, particularly for complex technical issues.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Product Metrics: Experience tracking KPIs and using data to guide product decisions.

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).

  • API Knowledge: Experience with API development and integration strategies.

  • SaaS Development: Experience in building and scaling SaaS products, especially in B2B.

  • Security & Compliance: Understanding of security protocols, data privacy, and compliance.
