See what you can do with Prophix

Prophix helps finance teams work with greater flexibility and confidence through Prophix One™, our Financial Performance Platform. We bring planning, reporting, and automation together so people can focus on higher-value work instead of repetitive tasks. As we introduce more AI-enabled capabilities, you will be part of a human-centered innovation journey where intelligent tools support better outcomes while people lead the decisions that matter.

We're headquartered in the Greater Toronto Area, with teams and offices across North America, Europe, and Australia.

As the Product Manager for Financial Close within the Prophix One Platform, you will own the strategy and execution for our close-related applications: Close Management, Account Reconciliation, Transaction Matching, and Lease Accounting. These tools help CFOs, Controllers, and accounting teams streamline their close process, ensure compliance with global standards (e.g., IFRS 16, ASC 842), and maintain audit readiness.

You will report to the Lead Product Manager for Close & Consolidation and work collaboratively across our Product, Design, and Engineering teams to shape and deliver impactful financial close solutions that reduce risk, increase transparency, and improve operational efficiency.

This is a mid-level product role, ideal for someone with product management experience in SaaS and a strong understanding of accounting processes and financial close cycles.

What You Will Do

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Define and evolve the product vision for the Financial Close domain across Lease Accounting, Account Reconciliation, Close Management, and Transaction Matching.
  • Align feature delivery with global regulatory standards (e.g., IFRS 16, ASC 842) and best practices in financial close processes.
  • Own and maintain product roadmaps, balancing technical feasibility, business value, and customer needs.
  • Break down high-level concepts into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria for development teams.
  • Prioritize backlogs for multiple close-related modules, making trade-offs between competing priorities and constraints.
  • Drive consistency across the close experience while enabling modular value delivery for each application.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Monitor trends in financial reporting, compliance, and automation across North America and Europe.
  • Conduct discovery with customers to understand the challenges of managing reconciliations, lease accounting, and transaction-level matching.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for internal teams and represent the product in customer conversations, user feedback sessions, and roadmap reviews.
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable insights that inform product strategy.

Delivery & Outcomes

  • Partner with Engineering and QA to deliver high-quality features through agile sprints.
  • Own go-to-market readiness and launch tier assessments across feature sets.
  • Track feature usage, support tickets, and customer feedback to validate impact and inform iterative improvements.
  • Champion continuous improvement based on telemetry, NPS, and support trends.

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Collaborate with marketing and customer success to support enablement, documentation, and training.
  • Participate in sales demos and partner briefings as needed to share the product vision and roadmap.
  • Work closely with designers to define workflows and UI that simplify complex accounting tasks.
