Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development and management of our data product for SMB merchants. This product uses Moneris' unique data set (over 3 billion transactions per year) to empower merchants to make smarter data-driven decisions to grow and increase their business.

You will collaborate with teams across the organization, work with technology and product design, while also connecting directly with merchants to understand their evolving commerce needs.

You will be the voice of the customer for small to medium sized business, ensuring that Moneris' data product is focused on delivering an user experience and helps these merchants translate complex data into actionable insights.

Contract Term: 18 months.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Director, Product - Data Solutions

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Work directly with Director of Product on the vision and roadmap, setting OKRs that align with enterprise goals.

  • Define the value and develop business case to support Product recommendations

  • Lead a dedicated Agile team as the Product Owner, collaborating with teams, including technology, designer and operations to develop functionalities that enhance user satisfaction and drive engagement.

  • Focus on optimizing the user experience for merchants, ensuring the application is intuitive, efficient, and meets their daily needs.

  • Use data-driven approaches to inform decision-making, product development, enhancements, and retiring outdated or redundant features

  • Manage all elements of the application's lifecycle incorporating user feedback, internal stakeholder feedback and market trends.

  • Ensure the application's compatibility and optimized performance across multiple devices.

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in mobile applications and data products in the payment and retail sectors to change and improve the product.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a product management capacity, managing multiple products through the full product life cycle (including launches)

  • Experience using data and insights to inform product development, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and a metrics-oriented mindset.

  • Experience building a customer-facing digital product in-house

  • At least 1 year experience with Agile methodologies and best practices

  • Experience in strategic planning, project lifecycle management, portfolio management, compliance, and change management.

  • Experience working with multiple teams with a shared codebase in highly available and scalable environments.

  • Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners.

  • Experience in payment systems and the merchant acquiring business is an asset.
