We are looking for a Product Manager who will be in charge of our Core platform to disrupt the commercial insurance landscape with us and help small businesses find the right solutions that meet their needs.


The Product team works to strategically design, develop, and manage user-centered digital products that align with our business objectives. Through user feedback and data analysis the team ensures the delivery of innovative and reliable digital solutions that drive the company’s success in the digital marketplace.


As a Product Manager, you'll join one of our Engineering teams focused on the Flow Writer tool—an internal platform that enables business teams to make real-time updates to customer application configurations without needing engineering support.


Reporting to the Team Lead, Product, you will be responsible for owning the product strategy and roadmap for the core platform. Your role will involve leveraging the overarching Product strategy to guide the development of roadmaps, set objectives, and achieve desired results.


You will ensure alignment between your team and the strategic direction of the product. This includes bridging the gap between organizational functions by aligning the Technology and Sales teams.


This is a remote-first role, but candidates must be based within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to be considered for the position. #LI-Remote


Please note that this is a full-time contract position for 15 months, with the potential for further opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Product team and Senior Leaders to execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. 
  • Create and present quarterly roadmap and goals to senior leadership and other key stakeholders to drive alignment and buy-in for the product vision. 
  • Evolve product maturity from a 0-to-1 mindset to a sustainable strategy, aligning with organizational goals.
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring smooth execution and impactful delivery of initiatives.
  • Conduct product discovery through user interviews, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to identify opportunities and refine solutions. Drive growth using data-driven insights. 
  • Develop and iterate on wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to validate concepts and gather feedback.
  • Actively build working relationships with Technology, Insurance Analytics, and Business Leadership to facilitate cross-departmental alignment
  • Define, monitor and analyze product metrics to prioritize features and initiatives that meet OKRs.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined and sprint plans align with roadmap priorities.
  • Assess roadmap capacity, build the roadmap, and justify planned initiatives to ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Enhance user experience by identifying product gaps and suggesting improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • University degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years as a Product Manager or Product Owner in digital/software products.
  • Experience collaborating with large engineering teams and managing complex dependencies.
  • Great understanding of software development, system architecture, and infrastructure.
  • Success in product discovery, including user interviews and actionable insights.
  • Experience with mockups, prototypes, UI creation, and design collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills for managing relationships and expectations.
  • Proficient with data analytics tools (e.g., Looker) and data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum, and creating/managing tickets and user stories.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks decisively and assertively.
  • Experience with internal tools development and optimization is an asset.
