Who You Will Work With:  

As the Product Enablement Specialist, you will support the team and report to the Product Enablement Services, Lead in driving the strategy, adoption, and modernization of Interac’s Foundational Services, including API Management, Gateway modernization, Ingress/Egress, and Extranet platform evolution.

In this vacant role, you'll be technically fluent: able to understand architectural patterns, identity and API security concepts, and platform integration workflows, and then translate them clearly to product teams, external partners, vendors, and product leaders.

What You Will Do:  

  • Partner with Platform Engineering, Architecture, and Product Leads to define and execute modernization roadmaps across API M, Gateways, and Extranet services.

  • Support migration planning and adoption efforts for product teams moving onto new API gateways and modern Ingress/Egress patterns.

  • Clarify requirements, write user stories, and maintain a prioritized work backlog aligned to platform strategy.

  • Serve as the platform enablement contact for product lines adopting foundational services, guide them through onboarding, integration patterns, security expectations, and SLAs.

  • Work with security and CIAM teams to ensure compliance with OAuth/OIDC, mTLS, cert rotation, token exchange flows, and API governance.

  • Track and report platform adoption metrics, performance insights, usage patterns, and stakeholder feedback.

  • Create clear communication artifacts e.g., service onboarding guides, release notes, roadmaps, FAQs, and “How-To” documentation.

  • Support external vendor coordination and ensure delivery meets Interac architectural and operational requirements.

What You Bring: 

  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role or related field.

  • Experience in technical product management, platform product ownership or development experience.

  • Strong ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, structured communication for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with:

    • API Gateways (e.g., Kong, Axway, Apigee, AWS API Gateway)

    • API Management concepts: throttling, onboarding, client registration, traffic inspection, logging, and monitoring.

  • Experience writing or reviewing: User stories, backlog items, service requirements, platform release notes.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement especially across Product, Architecture, Security, Engineering, and vendor teams.

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Extranet / customer-facing portal services.

  • Familiarity with Platform frameworks.

The hiring range for this position is $105K-$130K, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan.
