Tempo is looking for a talented product designer with a founder mindset to take a critical role in our rapidly growing early-stage startup. At Tempo, we believe software will be built 10x faster with teams leveraging the perfect combination of AI agents and collaborative tools. The platform we’ve built makes this future vision a reality, leading our company to an inflection point of growth. This role is an opportunity to join us early as we prepare to scale up in our market.

Your responsibilities
  • Play a key role in shaping our product’s design and user experience, acting like an owner of the business and making decisions with a founder-like mentality

  • Design intuitive, elegant, and engaging user interfaces and experiences across our platform

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and AI specialists to translate user needs and business goals into compelling design solutions

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on design solutions

  • Embrace our AI-first culture at every level, finding creative ways to incorporate AI into the user experience

  • Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure consistency across all products

  • Have a blast working at a quickly growing startup!

Looking for someone who:
  • Has professional experience designing digital products (at least 4 years of professional full-time design experience, experience with AI products a plus)

  • Is extremely talented and good at what you do (You create innovative designs that delight users and meet business goals)

  • Has a strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and thinking, as well as examples of high-quality design work

  • Has a very product and customer-focused mindset

  • Is skilled in using design tools such as Figma, Framer, Webflow, etc.

  • Is self-driven and can roll with the punches in a fast-paced environment where priorities and requirements may change

Bonus points if you:
  • Have some basic coding skills (HTML, CSS, Tailwind, React)

  • Are an ex-founder OR worked at an early-stage startup previously (Series A or earlier)

  • Have experience with AI-driven design tools or have worked on products that leverage AI
