Our team is a collection of ambitious, collaborative and mission-driven people from all walks of life but with one goal: helping Canadian companies not just survive but thrive. And we’re looking for bold innovators to help shape the future of business finance in Canada.

About the Role

Float is hiring a Product & Customer Marketing Leader to own the strategy and execution that turns product into revenue and customers into champions. You’ll report to the VP Marketing and lead a growing team of two Product & Customer Marketing Managers and one Lifecycle Marketing Manager, spanning positioning & launches, pricing & packaging, enablement, customer marketing campaigns, lifecycle marketing and advocacy. Your mandate: drive retention, adoption, and expansion across the SMB and mid-market customer journey.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the customer journey post-sale: map journeys, segment customers, and design lifecycle programs that accelerate activation, deepen product usage, and trigger cross/upsell.

  • Turn launches into revenue: partner with Product on beta recruitment, GTM readiness, and new product launches; build narratives, collateral, and campaigns that drive adoption.

  • Position, message and price to win: own Float’s positioning as the market landscape evolves; refresh messaging for target segments/personas as the product footprint expands; run structured pricing/packaging experiments.

  • Scale advocacy & community: build referrals, reviews, and customer stories; mobilize finance leaders as peer champions.

  • Equip Sales & CS to close and expand: deliver crisp enablement, objection handling, and expansion plays tied to account health and product signals.

  • Instrument, measure, repeat: partner with RevOps & Data to define source-of-truth dashboards; set quarterly hypotheses, measure impact, and adjust quickly.

  • Lead and develop the team: coach for outcomes, not output; hold the talent bar high.

About YouHere’s what sets you up for success at Float:
  • You Put Customers First, Always. You care deeply about delivering meaningful value. Whether you're building internal systems or customer-facing features, you're always thinking about how to make life better for our users.

  • You Act Like an Owner. You take responsibility for outcomes, step up to challenges, and seek solutions proactively—doing what’s best for the business, not just your role.

  • You Think Big and Move Fast. You’re energized by building from 0 to 1. You’re not afraid to challenge the status quo, experiment quickly, and learn as you go.

  • You Constantly Learn and Grow. You’re hungry to improve your craft and open to feedback. You bring a growth mindset to everything you do.

  • You Raise the Bar. You care about doing things well and efficiently. You balance speed with rigor and always look for ways to improve how we work.

  • You Win as a Team. You’re a generous collaborator who values communication, context, and shared wins. You lift others up and help make the team stronger.

In addition to living our values...
  • You have the experience. 7+ years in product marketing, customer marketing or lifecycle roles, with demonstrable ownership of retention and expansion metrics in B2B. Experience in fintech, SaaS, or transaction-based models is a plus.

  • You’ve done the work. You have segmented the market to more effectively deliver personalized strategies, built positioning and messaging frameworks, launched products successfully on multiple occasions, know how to deliver impact across the customer journey, and can enable teams around you effectively.

  • You’re results-oriented: You balance strategy and revenue – you write the narrative, build the model, and ship the program that moves the number. You have a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding goals. You have owned retention, product adoption and/or revenue expansion goals.

  • You're data-driven: You have strong data analysis skills and can translate complex metrics into actionable insights that drive strategy.

  • You’re a collaborative leader. You can build strong bridges with Product, CS, Sales, Growth Marketing, RevOps, and Data; you create clarity of ownership, support structures, deliverables and how we’re measuring impact.

  • You’re an owner. You’re comfortable making decisions with imperfect information and moving quickly. You’re adaptable when conditions change, and you know when to test new approaches versus when to double-down on proven tactics.

This may not be the role for you if:
  • You lack experience being accountable for quantifiable results

  • You prefer stability over rapid growth and constant change

  • You're uncomfortable balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution

  • You're uncomfortable with direct feedback and continuous optimization

  • You need well-established processes and systems to be effective

  • You prefer executing familiar playbooks rather than innovating new approaches

  • You’re not data-fluent or don’t tailor strategies based on insights

  • You don't enjoy team-building and people leadership

  • You struggle to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously

Why You Should Join
  • Work at one of Canada's fastest-growing fintech companies

  • Make a real impact in a high-autonomy, high-growth role

  • Collaborate with an ambitious and supportive team

  • Competitive compensation, equity options, and benefits

  • Hybrid work model – we are based in Toronto with in-office days for connection and collaboration

  • Enjoy catered team lunches every Tuesday and Wednesday

  • Bring your pup to our dog-friendly office

  • Thrive in a high-trust, high-performance culture where your work truly matters

In Short

At Float, you’ll thrive if you’re bold, curious, and eager to make a real impact. We're building something special—and having a lot of fun along the way. If you’re excited to build, grow, and win together, we’d love to meet you.

We’re committed to building a workplace that’s welcoming and accessible for everyone. If you need any accommodations during the hiring process or once you join Float, just let us know! You can reach out to Vic ([email protected]), and we’ll work with you to make sure you have what you need to succeed.
