As a Product Analyst for the Money Movement team at Avant, you have the ability to identify and execute on major opportunities that deliver customer value and impact Avant’s future. You will help fulfill the Money Movement team’s mission to develop features that engage our customers, support their payments experience, and help move their financial lives forward.

What you'll do at Avant:

  • Communication:

    Establish strong relationships with product managers, engineers, designers, and other key business stakeholders to build cross-functional trust and awareness.

    Understand how to tailor technical discussions to diverse audiences


  • Business Intelligence: 

    Support the team’s data needs by developing a deep understanding of the data model, tracking KPIs, and executing requests for ad hoc analysis.


  • Strategic Impact:

    Develop subject matter expertise in your area of responsibility.

    Proactively identify and communicate opportunities for improvement using data-driven insights.

    Own the strategy and execution of servicing features.


  • Drive the Product Development Lifecycle:

    Identify and prioritize opportunities through data analysis

    Translate opportunities into actionable product requirements

    Collaborate with engineering through implementation and testing

    Measure feature effectiveness and iterate based on results


  • Leadership and Management:

    Contribute to high-value projects and demonstrate leadership capabilities.

    Over time, take on additional responsibilities, whether that’s managing a small team or deepening your expertise as an individual contributor.

Why you’re a fit at Avant:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or comparable experience. 

  • 1-4+ years of data analysis, product, engineering, or design experience.

  • Highly analytical with proficiency in SQL. Familiarity with Python or R is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to independently prioritize tasks given timelines and team goals.

This role is based on our downtown Chicago Office, located in the Merchandise Mart. We highly value collaboration and our hybrid schedule (M, T, Th in-office) enables flexibility to balance work and individual priorities.

Compensation Range:

The base salary range for this job is USD $55,000 - USD $80,000 / Year

Employees new to Avant typically come in below the midpoint of the pay range. The compensation range is based on the level outlined in the job posting, and compensation decisions are dependent on each applicant's experience, skills and abilities.

This role is eligible for additional incentives, including an annual bonus. These rewards are allocated based on level, impact and performance in the role.
