Role Summary:
Flowserve is looking for a Procurement Specialist to help achieve our team goals by guaranteeing the purchase of subcontracted components and services at the best conditions of price, quality, and deadlines, according to recommendations of the Global Supply Chain Team.
In this role, you will develop and implement purchasing strategies by supporting the Commercial Operations team regarding advance procurement activities and developing our strategy in the engineered markets, to increase our profitability and our on-time delivery. You will work on strengthening the alignment of the Company's Purchasing strategy and business strategy. Having full ownership of the suppliers' portfolio, you will work in close relationships with the supply team to improve our delivery.
Responsibilities:

  • Place the purchase orders, including AMO where applicable, in line with the supplier selection and commercial terms agreed.

  • Ensure purchase orders are placed clean; meaning with the correct and applicable documentation, drawings, etc.

  • Manage the open purchase orders, including management of dates to MRP need by dates, managing change orders, etc.

  • Execute any spot sourcing demand not covered by the Sourcing Specialist function. Any RFQs managed.

  • Should comply with the global sourcing strategies and suppliers selected based on the appropriate proposal considering Quality, Delivery and Cost offerings.

  • Create and expedite any new supplier requests/supplier changes as required to support the BU operations through the MDG-Supplier process.

  • Identify any specific supply/supplier risks as they pertain to the managed scope and elevate them through the appropriate process/hierarchy.

  • Manage and maintain ERP data paraments as they pertain to Supplier Data and Supply Chain fields on Item Data.

  • Management of Pattern Data within AIM (Castings only)

  • Address any discrepancies related to pricing or quantity that may impact the Invoice Payment or Goods Receipt processes.

  • Operate in full compliance with all Flowserve Policies & Procedures as applicable to the role.

Requirements:

  • BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 5-7 years relevant experience

  • Experience with SAP MM Module

  • Purchasing techniques proficiency

  • Good understanding of all the main purchasing areas: negotiations, evaluation and development of suppliers, supplier quality, logistics, etc.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Knowledge and implementation at the purchasing level of technical requirements and quality related to products

  • Knowledge of the requirements of our markets

  • Global and strategic negotiating skills
