Join our dynamic team at Knix as a Procurement Manager and play a pivotal role in building our procurement function from the ground up. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in procurement strategy, contract negotiations, and vendor management to drive impactful results. With a focus on apparel and consumer packaged goods, you'll collaborate closely with senior leadership to implement cost-effective strategies that support Knix’s growth. About You:

  • You’re an energetic self-starter with a proven track record in procurement, ready to build and lead Knix’s procurement function from the ground up.
  • You have deep expertise in procurement strategy, contract negotiations, and vendor management, particularly within the apparel and consumer packaged goods industries.
  • You’re commercially savvy, analytical, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can collaborate cross-functionally to drive results.
  • You’re passionate about Knix’s mission and excited to contribute to the company’s continued growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with Knix’s long-term goals. Establish policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Identify opportunities for innovation, sustainability, and cost reduction.
  • Lead negotiations for critical contracts, securing favorable terms and conditions that support Knix’s strategic objectives.
  • Partner with the Chief Technology Officer to evaluate and negotiate software agreements, ensuring cost-effective, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer and Sourcing Director to leverage strategic sourcing opportunities that align with overall business objectives.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, including the Chief Technology Officer, Chief Financial Officer, VP, Strategy & Business Development, to ensure seamless execution of procurement strategies. Present procurement strategies and financial impact assessments to Knix leadership.
  • Analyze procurement spend to identify cost reduction and value creation opportunities. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track procurement performance, savings, and vendor compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of procurement experience in a corporate setting, preferably in CPG or fashion/apparel.
  • Strong expertise in negotiating commercial and legal terms, with a solid understanding of contract standards and Canadian regulations.
  • Experience with software procurement, SAAS agreements, and IT vendor negotiations.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen, analytical abilities, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to adding value and supporting cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating initiative, agility, and accountability.
