What will you be doing?

The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing goods and services on behalf of the organization. This role focuses on ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Key tasks include developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring efficient procurement processes. The position is crucial in maintaining the supply chain and supporting the organization’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Source and assess suppliers, products, and services to secure the best value for the organization.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and foster strong supplier relationships.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies.
  • Track and report on key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
  • Collaborate with departments such as finance, operations, and logistics to meet organizational needs.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
  • Preferred certifications: CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply)
  • 4–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • Experience in vendor evaluation and contract management
  • Working knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and procurement compliance standards
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including experience with spend data, renewals, and budgeting
  • Proficiency with procurement systems, purchase‑order workflows, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills
  • Experience partnering with Finance, Operations, and other business stakeholders
  • Nice to have: exposure to technology procurement (software, SaaS, IT‑related contracts)

    Location: This position can be located in the following area(s): Remote, Canada (preferred time zones: Central, Eastern)

    The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $95,000 CAD. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
