MetCap Living Management Inc. is one of the largest private third-party property managers specializing in multi-residential property management. We are a growth-oriented company with our head office located in Toronto, Ontario, and property operations in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia.

We are currently seeking a Procurement Coordinator to join our team for an open position. The Procurement Coordinator will support the smooth operation of the procurement function by assisting with the negotiation and management of purchasing activities for goods and services. This role involves coordinating with contractors and suppliers to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with required quality standards.

Reporting to: Vice President, Operations

Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 per year

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • · Identifying and vetting potential contractors, suppliers and negotiating pricing and terms for materials and services.
  • · Preparing, issuing, and expediting purchase orders and change orders.
  • · Ensuring all procured items are cost-effective and contribute to project profitability, especially on tight-margin projects.
  • · Monitoring and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services to the project site.
  • · Working with other departments, such as Finance, to ensure all procurement needs are met.
  • · Maintaining procurement records and generating reports on supplier performance.
  • · Assisting with the development and implementation of procurement strategies to improve cost efficiency and service quality.
  • · Soliciting, reviewing, and evaluating bids, quotes, and proposals in accordance with company policies.
  • · Supporting contract renewals and amendments, ensuring terms and conditions remain competitive.
  • · Assisting with vendor onboarding, including documentation, insurance verification, and compliance checks.
  • · Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within procurement operations.

Requirements:

  • · Procurement experience in property management, construction or similar industry.
  • · A diploma in a related field, such as supply chain or business administration, is preferred.
  • · A strong understanding of contract administration procedures, with the ability to read and comprehend contracts.
  • · Ability to supervise trade work and suppliers.
  • · Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
  • · Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Yardi.
  • · Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
