You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.
How you will contribute
You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

    • Operate various types of manufacturing equipment to produce product within specified tolerances, using initiative, judgment and experience in order to maintain optimal efficiency of operation and quality of product. Operate equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Formula Process Instructions. Responsible for the safe operation of equipment/work centre and for achieving standards output requirements.
    • Observe all safety rules, practices and procedures in the performance of all duties.
    • Work in a well-organized and systematic manner to minimize errors and maximize productivity, ensuring production targets are met (Safety/Quality/Cost/Delivery/Sustainability/Morale).
    • Be alert to normal operating conditions and exercise care in setting and operating all equipment.
    • Ensure product has been produced according to formula instructions with proper dosing rates for all ingredients, pre-mixes and salvage.
    • Lead and direct Processor B's and Hopper Loaders through breaks, startups, shutdowns, changeovers and normal running conditions.
    • Performs all Processor B duties during breaks and as required to ensure products are being produced within specified tolerances.
    • Record shift information on all required documents and/or in the Quality Suites system, in accordance with SOPGMP.006 Good Documentation Practices. Complete Verification checks (where applicable)
    • Engage in IL6S activities including Daily Management Systems, pillar membership, work process ownership and AM activities
    • Ensure work station organization and cleanliness is maintained.
    • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
    • Operates equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Formula and Process Instructions and Work Instructions.
    • Handles salvage inventories and input rates.


    Education / Experience / Training Required:

    • Minimum high school diploma required
    • Ability to learn and apply additional training such as, IL6S concepts and Quality Suites.


    Skill-sets

    • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and perform running adjustments to equipment/product to ensure optimum quality and output.
    • Resourcefulness and ability to be a self-starter.
    • Ability to read, comprehend and follow complex instructions.
    • Above average computer literacy/skills
