As a Principal Technical Program Manager in the Commercial and Investment Bank Global Research Division, you will lead complex, multi-functional technology projects and programs that will impact experiences for multiple groups across the firm, including clients, employees, and stakeholders. Your advanced analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to break down business, technical, and operational objectives into manageable tasks, while navigating through ambiguity and driving change. With demonstrated technical fluency, you will effectively manage resources, budgets, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with the firm's strategic goals. Your exceptional communication and influencing abilities will foster productive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective risk management. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development of new policies and processes, shaping the future of our technology landscape.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and develop a bold, achievable roadmaps for technology initiatives.
- Contributing to the technology vision, defining objectives and key results (OKRs), and prioritizing project backlog items.
- Establishing and managing a transparent governance structure to ensure effective delivery.
- Directly managing complex project delivery and cross-team dependencies to drive success.
- Tracking the value delivered from technology investments to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Driving continuous improvement by optimizing the delivery lifecycle and removing organizational obstacles.
- Providing quarterly reviews on progress and team performance metrics.
- Supporting the team in adopting and applying agile best practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 7+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizations
- Strong background in technology delivery, with hands-on experience in managing all stages of the delivery lifecycle in an agile environment.
- Detail-oriented and resourceful, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse audiences and building effective relationships with key business partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas
- Demonstrate strong risk awareness and ability to apply critical thinking;
