WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
The Principal Solution Consultant is a senior specialist within the DMS Value Stream, responsible for shaping, building, and delivering complex, results-driven solutions that support client outcomes and operational excellence. This role requires demonstrated specialist expertise and typically 5–8 years of relevant experience. Able to manage their own tasks and time, the Principal Solution Consultant leads critical solution initiatives, advises senior stakeholders, and ensures solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with strategic and operational objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Own Complex Solution Architecture: Lead the end-to-end build of complex solutions, ensuring alignment with Standard Guild designs, operational standards, and long-term maintainability.
Act as Trusted Advisor: Provide specialized guidance to senior stakeholders and clients on standard solution options, and delivery approaches.
Drive effective delivery: lead solution workstreams across large or complex initiatives while ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to delivery frameworks.
Solve Complex Problems: Analyze and resolve advanced functional, technical, or operational challenges with durable, scalable solutions.
Ensure Quality and Governance: Review solution designs, build packages, and documentation to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
Collaborate on Cross-Functional Outcomes: Work closely with Product Management, Consultants, Solution Architects, and Operations teams to ensure cohesive end-to-end solutions.
Mentor and Enable Others: Provide advanced coaching and guidance to Lead and Senior Solution Consultants, raising overall solution capability.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to solution methodologies, tooling, and reusable assets across Value Streams.
Type of Work This Role Engages With
Enterprise-Scale Solution Build: Lead build of solutions that span multiple systems, teams, and operational domains.
Strategic Delivery Initiatives: Support high-priority programs requiring deep solution expertise and cross-functional coordination.
Client and Stakeholder Advisory: Engage with senior clients and internal leaders on standard solution, roadmap alignment, and operational impact.
Operational Excellence Programs: Contribute to initiatives that standardize, automate, and improve solution delivery and support models.
Solution Governance and Standards: Define and evolve solution standards, patterns, and review practices.
Change and Adoption Enablement: Ensure solutions transition smoothly into operations with clear documentation and adoption support.
Knowledge Leadership: Act as a reference point for complex solution delivery across the Services organization.
WHAT WE VALUE
5-8 years of relevant experience in SimCorp Dimension / senior implementation expert, owning cross‑domain (front‑to‑back) designs
Prior client‑facing experience in business consulting and/or SME roles, leading front‑to‑back solution discussions
Functional knowledge of SimCorp Dimension and/or Data Management Core (formely Gain)
Working knowledge of SaaS delivery constraints and operating models, and comfort using Azure DevOps to manage and trace scope (epics/features) and decisions to delivery outcomes.
Willingness to travel as required.
Ability to work in the office 2-3 days a week per our hybrid policy.
For Toronto only: The salary range for this position is $128,200 to 176,990 CAD. Base pay may vary based on factors such as years of experience, skills and qualifications. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits including health and dental care, time off and Group RRSP/TFSA.
