Position Overview
The reporting team is looking for a highly skilled Principal SDET. You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our applications by developing, maintaining, and executing automated test cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both backend and frontend testing, with a strong background in test automation using tools and technologies.
Responsibilities

Automated Test Script Development
-
Architect, build and maintain robust automation frameworks for APIs and micro frontends
-
Create automated tests for both front-end and backend applications.

Ensure CI/CD pipelines are well-integrated with automated test suites

Test Management
-
Create a test repository for functional and performance tests. Create test plans and executions for new and on-going initiates

Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
-
Test execution and Test Result Management
-
Create test cases and execute them
-
Create defects and track them to closure
-
Collaboration and Communication
-
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage

Foster a culture of “built-in quality” and promote the adoption of effective test automation within our team

Conduct performance and security testing to enhance application quality
-
Provide mentorship and best practices to other engineers on testing approaches

Stay up to date with the latest testing tools, trends, and technologies
Minimum Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on test automation
-
Expertise in automation using modern tools and technologies such as playwright, blaze meter, locust
-
Experience with manual testing

Strong knowledge of API testing, UI automation, and backend testing

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating test automation with DevOps

Familiarity with performance and security testing techniques

Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus

Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience with cloud environments
