Principal Product Owner (Salesforce)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner specializing in Salesforce, with specific expertise in implementing a customer data framework that supports both direct and channel sales. This role will focus on the Lead to Quote value stream, which encompasses account assignments, opportunity and funnel management, and ultimately results in generating accurate and timely customer quotes. As the Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and success of this value stream, ensuring maximum value delivery to the business and our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog for SFDC and Customer Data Model implementation, collaborating closely with the Experience Product Managers to define and prioritize backlog items

  • Clearly articulate and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and other requirements to ensure a clear understanding of the product vision and goals

  • Prioritize backlog items based on business value, customer needs, and strategic objectives, ensuring that the team focuses on delivering the most impactful features and enhancements

  • Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and expectations

  • Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings to provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring continuous improvement and efficient delivery

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, gathering and prioritizing customer requirements through regular interaction and feedback

  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product updates, progress, and plans to ensure alignment and satisfaction

  • Collaborate with Experience Product Managers and other Product Owners to ensure coherence and alignment across product domains, fostering a collaborative and cohesive working environment

  • Work with upstream and downstream teams to ensure seamless integration and an optimal end-to-end experience for customers

  • Engage with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall user experience

  • Continuously analyze product performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Advocate for and implement best practices in product management and agile methodologies, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively

  • Continuously refine and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, driving operational excellence within the product organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in a product owner or similar role, with a focus on SFDC and Customer Data Model implementation

  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies, particularly in large organizations

  • Experience with lead management, opportunity management, and funnel reporting.

  • Experience in Channel/Go-to Market Motions

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience with quote-to-cash systems and transformation is a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
