Job Description
Investment and Distribution Services professionals provide governance and risk based controlled accounting, tax, fund administration, financial reporting and Office of the Fund CFO services that allow Invesco to create a superior investment experience for our clients. Fund Treasury, a division of IDS, supports expense administration and oversight for Invesco mutual funds, ETFs, collective trusts, and private partnerships in North America.
Your Role
The role would be directly responsible for providing assurance over expense ratios and other fees and expense-related public disclosures in Canada and the U.S. The role also supported the complete, accurate, and timely payment and maintenance of fund expense accruals. You and the team also support the Office of the Fund CFO and fund boards through invoice management and financial reporting of expenses. Invesco is committed to a strong control framework and team members may be a part of department committees on regulatory changes, risk reviews, controls testing, and error and incident reporting. You’ll support Invesco’s product strategy planning by providing financial analysis for fund launches and mergers. You will collaborate with financial reporting, tax, accounting, corporate finance, legal and product development teams within Invesco along with third party administrators and fund auditors.
You Will Be Responsible For:

Leading fund treasury focused processes and assurance/oversight activities ensuring teamwork between third party administrators, off-shore servicing teams and internal business partners. Serving as a Team Lead on key responsibilities with internal and external clients

Advising and supporting directives in the creation of an effective assurance program for expense administration products

Researching, reporting and making recommendations on error and incidents, control breaks and remediation

Building a robust internal control framework and SOX documentation/testing around expense management

Preparing financial analysis to support Invesco’s product development strategy initiatives

Providing assurance support impacting financial statements, regulatory filings, Invesco revenue, and board reporting
The Experience You Bring:
-
7+ years working in accounting/finance is required, with 2+ in mutual fund industry experience strongly preferred

Leading people and process management experience is highly desirable
-
Data management, business process design or any policy oversight experience is desirable

Strong at analyzing data, problem solving and prioritizing responsibilities independently

Strong proven communication, social and presentation skills
-
High level of integrity, initiative, motivation and curiosity

Ability to work effectively on a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required

Completion of MBA, CPA, CFA, CSC or IFIC considered an asset
