Being a Principal Account Manager at Kainos

Being a Principal Account Manager in Kainos, you will take the lead on some of our most important client relationships – driving growth, strengthening delivery, and building long-term strategic partnerships. You will set the direction for your accounts, working with senior stakeholders to understand their priorities, solve complex challenges, and unlock opportunities for innovation and success.

You will bring together people, ideas, and strategy to shape a shared vision - and deliver results that matter.

In this role you will:

  • Champion business development. You will lead pre-sales activities, bids, and contracting - ensuring new business opportunities are scoped and secured to meet sales and revenue targets.
  • Ensure operational excellence. You will oversee delivery across your accounts, managing risk, ensuring success, and maintaining quality at every stage.
  • Mentor and coach others. You will support and develop teams aligned to your accounts, enabling succession planning and reinforcing a culture that reflects Kainos' values.

Your expertise:

  • Strategic leadership. You have led major client engagements and successfully delivered complex programs. You are an adaptable, resilient, and solutions-focused - always seeking smarter, more innovative ways to solve problems.
  • Commercial acumen. You have a strong background in business development, financial planning, and sales forecasting. You know how to grow accounts in a sustainable and strategic way.
  • Relationship management. You have built trusted relationships at the highest levels, representing your brand with credibility and confidence as a true partner and advisor.
  • People development. You lead by example, motivate others, and foster an inclusive, collaborative team environment. You are transparent, give and receive feedback constructively, and empower others to grow.

What to expect from the hiring process:

  • A virtual interview with a Talent Advisor. This is an opportunity to discuss how your career goals and this role align.
  • A virtual interview with the Hiring Manager and senior members of the team. You will share your experience, learn about day-to-day responsibilities, the company and the team.
