Platform Support Specialist - File Transfer Services
Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity
The position is responsible for building, developing, and supporting Managed File Transfer solutions. As a senior member of the team responsible for Managed File transfers (MFT) technical operations, you will oversee Moneris MFT platforms responsible for all inbound and outbound file transfers. This includes participation in 24/7 technical and business support, and investigation and remediation of technical platform issues in collaboration with incident management, software development, and other technology teams.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to Manager, Platform Support, Data Platforms, and Services.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

Provide both active and on-call 24x7 production support.

Investigate production issues managing through to resolution independently and in collaboration with incident management teams. Manage routine and complex issues with limited or no support, escalating to senior resources or manager only when needed.

Lead infrastructure and other application support teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex support issues beyond the immediate application code and server infrastructure.

Solve immediate MFT application problems through configuration changes, data modification, server commands, or other methods. Complete a variety of documented and ad-hoc solution options independently. For more complex application issues, help identify code problems and assist developers in resolution.

Schedule and complete MFT platform implementations including code deployments, configuration, and scripting/execution tasks. Work with change management, platform management, and the development teams to manage impacts and communication. Perform deployments of all complexities.

Install, test, and deploy application server software and related components to support platform evolution and application changes. Lead projects to perform infrastructure (including application certificates) and application server software upgrades/patching to keep currency up.

Create and install scripts, support programs, monitoring utilities, and other auxiliary software to monitor or improve the operations of application software.

Implement disaster recovery procedures. Identify opportunities to improve procedures and reduce potential for downtime. Create process and troubleshooting documentation in the support knowledge base, including disaster recovery plans.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring

Degree or diploma in information technology, system administration, information systems management, or similar disciplines and equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting and managing both in-house-built and vendor applications.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise Managed File Transfer solutions such as FORTRA GoAnywhere MFT, IBM B2B Integrator/File Gateway, Axway Managed File Transfer.

Proficiency in basic operation of Linux and Windows operating systems through education, certifications, and work experience.

Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network infrastructure components. Knowledge of SCP/SFTP/HTTPS and NDM protocols.

Proficiency in multiple scripting languages, including Shell script, PowerShell, Python, or others.

Experience with application and system monitoring tools, including building of custom modules and adapters.
