Overview



About the Role - The Instacart off platform data media planning strategist will be responsible for working with Instacart Sales teams, Advertising Agencies, Platform Partners and Brand Sales teams to deliver concise and strategic media plans responses to RFPs for Instacart data and measurement solutions.



About the Team - This team is responsible for coordinating with cross-functional internal partners to identify first party transaction data trends and have knowledge of Instacart data taxonomies for targeting and measurement products and solutions to RFPs from Brands, Agencies and Platform teams. 



About the Job 

  • This individual will deliver data-based media plans to Brand, Platform and Agency clients. 
  • Partner and coordinate with cross-functional Instacart sales teams to develop and deliver media plans which are data and measurement based. 
  • Work with internal Product Marketing, Product and Strategy teams to build Instacart data and measurement “stories” for brands, agencies and platform partners. 
  • Build demand-based relationships with Programmatic Data Activation teams at the Holding Company and Brand level at Agency Holding companies like Publicis, Omnicom, and Group M  
  • Build demand-based relationships with Instacart platform partners such as Roku, TTD, LiveRamp, Magnite and Xandr
  • Partner and coordinate with Instacart sales teams to develop media plan proposals for brands that drive data activation
  • Gather useful information from customer and competitor data
  • Subject matter expert on Instacart data, presentations to prospective brand, platform and agency clients
  • Consult, inform and help implement processes and policies to support media planning initiative
  • Where necessary, help launch media planning products, drive go to market strategy



About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant data planning, media planning, buying, and activation experience in Agency or platform space 
  • Driven data and measurement and activation, buying and planning experience. 
  • Knowledge of data configurations, taxonomies and audience building. 
  • Solid presenter, story teller 
  • Internal and external client relationship builder 
  • Understanding of the first party transaction data landscape 
  • Comfortable selling new/novel/untested customer engagement tools 
  • Commercial/financial and data based thinker 
  • Understanding of CPG industry
  • Ability to stay calm in dynamic, rapidly-changing environments
  • Must be open to travel

  • Bachelor's degree 


Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here. Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants. Please read more about our benefits offerings here.
