What you'll be doing

Your will be joining CIBC's CBPT (Commercial banking & Payment Technology) team. The Performance Test Analyst role is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios and scripts as part of the Performance Testing lifecycle across multiple platforms, in compliance with established controls, standards, policies, and procedures. The role utilizes a solid understanding of business dynamics to define and document criteria for testing and present results following the defined testing methodology. The role troubleshoots problems and provides technical training to less experienced employees, maintaining test system configurations and executing test scripts using test tools for compliance with testing standards. The role uses judgement and autonomy on day to day tasks, exercising considerable latitude in analyzing and resolving complex problems during test execution, or escalating issues and concerns. The role proactively addresses problems within the scope of responsibility and identifies areas for possible improvements.

How you'll succeed

  • Leveraging technology - Work under the guidance of Senior Performance Analyst. You have clear and crisp communication and can speak the language of performance testing; Capable of running all phases of the performance testing lifecycle. You have the ability to script using multiple protocols but more specifically HTTP, Rest API’s and Java Gui; Ability to raise defects using ALM or equivalent defect tool and troubleshooting performance defects or capable of investigating where issues lie; Skilled in using performance testing tools such as LoadRunner Enterprise and NeoLoad, as well as Application Performance Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk; Can understand and read AWR reports and log analysis reports; Conduct testing on a wide variety of applications ranging from web and database as well as custom apps.
  • Relationship building - Engage in marketing and outreach activities to show clients you value them and their communities.
  • Client engagement – Meet with clients to understand their priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan. Use your knowledge of cash management, credit, investment and wealth protection to help clients meet their goals. 

Who Are You

  • You can demonstrate 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance  including test planning, strategy, and execution; Performance Testing using LoadRunner Enterprise, Neoload or equivalent. It’s an asset if you have experience building simulators using Parasoft Virtualize, have rooted knowledge of APM tools specifically Dynatrace, Splunk, or Grafana, have experience with scripting protocols such as HTTP, REST API, MQ, or Java GUI, with some software development experience in Java, C#, Python, VBScript, or other programming languages.
