Performance and Operational Excellence Manager
In collaboration with the operational teams of the Vice-Presidency of Compensation, the main management of Expertise in support of operational performance is responsible for the sector’s performance and for implementing effective solutions in collaboration with the Claims Division’s operational teams. Geared to ensuring claims accuracy in an evolving context, this team plays an increasingly important key role in helping to achieve our sector objectives, which focus on creating competitive advantages for DGIG. As Performance and Operational Excellence Manager, you play a leadership role in data and analytics for all business lines and in implementing strategies to optimize our overall performance. More specifically, you will be required to:

Supervise and coordinate the employees and teams under your responsibility and lead quantitative analyses and analytical models to support claims performance and the executive division

Manage projects that are strategic, highly complex and require an innovative mindset to deal with our division’s evolving context

Assume a performance culture leadership role by influencing senior management, decision-making bodies, work teams and various teams across the organization (actuarial services, modelling and research, etc.)

Contribute to leveraging data and analytics to support the various business lines across Canada in monitoring results and making strategic decisions

Closely monitor the performance of tools related to business partners and implement necessary improvements while ensuring compliance with information security and contractual agreements

Establish operating budgets and forecast analyses for the entire division, including business partners

Supervise the operational workforce planning and management team

Report on sector performance and participate in key discussions concerning the executive division

What you bring to the table

Bachelor's degree in a related field
-
A minimum of nine years of relevant experience
-
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

Actuarial experience
-
Experience drafting documents and presenting in French and in English

Knowledge of French is required

Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

Proficiency in the different P&C insurance sectors
