Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a People Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the HR Business Support department in various administrative and operations tasks. What you'll do:

As a People Operations Specialist you will primarily support the Global HR Business Partner teams as well as the Talent, Onboarding and Mobility teams with day to day HR functions and ensuring that HR policies and procedures are implemented effectively.  

How you'll make an impact:

  • Conduct pre-boarding activities for new hires including preparation of offer letters and  running background checks.
  • Process all transactions tied to the employee life cycle including: onboarding, internal moves, leave of absence, and separations by partnering with internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for maintaining HR files and employee records.
  • Manage internal HR software systems and applications.
  • First point of contact for general employee inquiries via JIRA HR Service Desk.
  • Monitoring HR Inbox and additional platforms.
  • Assist with automation and simplification processes by understanding the end-to-end process and underlying sources to identify inconsistencies and make recommendations to improve data integrity.
  • Perform regular audits, lead employee meetings, monitor and execute letters for the mobility program.
  • Ensure confidentiality, privacy and compliance with all employee information.
  • Participate in and support various projects with various teams throughout the year.
  • Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.

What you'll bring to the role

  • 1-3 years of experience in HR or administrative roles.
  • Experience working within a technical or engineering organization, knowledge of the high-technology industry an asset.
  • Solid understanding of general HR policies and procedures, employment relations and labour laws.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable evidence of HR expertise and thought leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
