This role pays 80-90k CAD per year.

💼 The Role

Join us as a Sr. People Operations & Talent Partner and be a catalyst for our team’s success! You’ll step into a pivotal, high-impact role that touches every corner of our organization owning the day-to-day people operations engine and flexing into recruiting support when we need it.

Think of yourself as the go-to partner for our people, the first friendly face new hires meet, and the operational brain behind smooth, scalable systems. You will improve how we use our tools, and automate where possible. You'll run core experiences like onboarding and offboarding, serve as an internal service champion, and build a great employee experience across our distributed team. You’ll design and refine scalable processes.

On the talent side, we won’t have a huge hiring plan this year, but recruiting expertise is a must-have. When roles do open, you’ll jump in confidently: managing the process in Ashby, keeping stakeholders aligned, and ensuring candidates have a high-quality, consistent experience.

🧠 What You’ll Do
  • Own onboarding & offboarding end-to-end and continuously improve the experience and workflows.

  • Act as internal customer support for the organization by answering employee questions, resolving issues, and making sure people feel supported and informed.

  • Become an expert in the tools that power our people operations (HRIS + recruiting stack) and help optimize how we use them.

  • Own employee engagement programs and team experiences that foster connection, recognition, and belonging across a remote-first workforce.

  • Support other HR, compliance, and administrative projects as necessary.

  • Flex into recruiting as needed (lower volume, high importance), including:

    • Coordinating hiring workflows and stakeholders

    • Preliminary interviews

    • Maintaining ATS hygiene and reporting in Ashby

    • Scheduling/coordination and candidate communication

    • Supporting interview process consistency and candidate experience

🎯 What You Bring
  • 5+ years combined experience in People Operations / HR Ops / Recruitment / HR Generalist / Talent Operations (or similar) at a software company.

  • Meaningful exposure to recruiting (either as a recruiter who’s done ops, or an ops person who’s supported recruiting). You can confidently run the mechanics of a search when needed.

  • Experience working in an ATS (bonus if Ashby). You care about clean processes, data accuracy, and great candidate communication.

  • Ability to learn complex software systems independently and improve workflows using automation where possible.

  • You’re a tenacious problem solver with strong ownership and follow-through.

  • Experience at a high-growth startup is a huge plus.

  • Experience with Rippling is a huge plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
