Position Overview
The People & Culture (P&C) Generalist is responsible for delivering comprehensive people-related programs and support across the organization. This role partners closely with employees and leaders to enable an engaging, compliant, and high-performance workplace. The P&C Generalist supports the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits administration, training and development, employee relations, health and safety, and culture initiatives, while ensuring alignment with business objectives in a high-growth environment.
What You’ll Do
People Operations & Administration
- Ensure all employee documentation is current, compliant, and confidentially maintained
- Maintain Workday, the company HRIS system, ensuring accurate and complete employee data
- Implement and manage people processes, procedures, and tools
- Liaise with payroll to ensure quality control, accuracy, and timely processing
- Manage relationships with external vendors
- Provide regular people analytics and reporting
- Communicate P&C updates and programs to employees
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Manage and enhance the end-to-end onboarding experience
- Coordinate onboarding logistics, documentation, and orientation
- Partner with managers to integrate new hires
- Support role changes, leaves, and exits
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs
- Serve as a point of contact for benefits inquiries
- Coordinate benefits renewals and open enrollment
Business Partnering & Employee Relations
- Provide guidance on low to medium risk employee relations matters
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
- Implement and maintain people policies and procedures
- Support termination processes respectfully
Learning, Development & Performance
- Support with building learning content
- Facilitate and train learning content to select groups
- Support the annual performance review process
- Educate employees and managers on performance management
Health, Safety & Wellbeing
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
- Manage the Health and Safety Committee
- Support wellbeing and CSR initiatives
Culture & Best Practices
- Champion a people-first culture
- Gather feedback to improve P&C programs
- Leverage social media for engagement and branding
- Live and promote organizational values
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3–5 years of P&C or HR Generalist experience
- CHRP or CHRL designation an asset
- Knowledge of employment legislation
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

This role requires three days in-office. Remote work is not available for this position.

Salary at DAC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 CAD. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of DAC’s total compensation package for employees.
