As our Pension Calculation QA Analyst, you'll be the quality gatekeeper for our pension calculation software. You'll identify comprehensive calculation test scenarios to ensure proper test coverage, execute those tests using our retirement calculation platform, verify the results, and track the resolution of any anomalies you uncover.
You have hands-on experience in defined benefit pension plan administration—this is essential. You understand how DB pensions work in Canada inside and out, and you bring excellent Excel skills and a strong foundation in manual calculations. Beyond the technical toolkit, you have a genuine interest in pension systems and Quality Assurance, which will fuel your ability to think critically about test scenarios and potential edge cases.

What you'll do:

  • Communicate with functional leaders and business analysts to have a clear understanding of the scope of testing
  • Analyze technical documents to identify required test scenarios
  • Execute and verifie the calculation results of the test scenarios, reports anomalies
  • Keep the test suite up-to-date with new features added or changes to existing features
  • Participate in team meetings and calculation review sessions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for problem solving
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of verification processes

What you bring:

  • University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or finance
  • Continuing education in actuarial science (an asset)
  • 3 years of relevant experience in Canadian pension plan administration
  • Experience in production and/or verification of pension plan calculations
  • Proficiency in pension calculation tools
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar job management tool (asset)
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • VBA programming skills (asset)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
