About the Role
As the Payroll and Time System Support Manager for North America, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing the support of our Dayforce payroll and time system across our Canada and US divisions. You will also be responsible for assisting with the initial implementation and managing any subsequent implementations for new divisions.
Your role will emphasize ensuring the seamless operation of Dayforce, addressing technical and operational issues, and enhancing system functionality to meet user needs. You will work closely with the IT, HR, and Finance departments to optimize the integration and performance of the system.
Your Responsibilities
Application Management:• Manage and provide support for payroll and time management application issues, troubleshooting any technical system problems • Ensure support and defect resolution processes and procedures are defined, in place, efficient and compliant with internal and external audit requirements• Ongoing monitoring of tickets and SLAs, changing processes as required to ensure efficient delivery of services• Assist the Shared Service Centre and divisional HR users with inquiries, and problem-solving related to Dayforce• Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for operational excellence and process improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and better support business needs• Ensure day-to-day systems support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projects• Assess, manage, resolve and escalate (if necessary) risks and issues • Manage software releases and updates and understand/communicate the potential impact on current and future business needs.• Manage vendor relationships to ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and to address system issues and enhancements• Effectively develop and manage a department budget
Implementation Assistance:• Assist with Dayforce related projects, including new implementations and upgrades.• Assist with defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Compliance, Best Practices and Continuous improvement:• Ensure payroll and time management applications comply with local, regional, and international regulations and best practices.• Ensure the system is integrated effectively with other business systems.• Stay updated on changes in technology and regulations to guide system improvements.• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance and efficiency.• Assist with the evaluation and selection of new technologies and services.
People Lead:• Manage a team of payroll and time management support analysts, mentoring and managing their performance and training needs• Develop and promote continuous learning within the team
Who we are looking for
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll and time management systems management and support, preferably with Dayforce• Strong knowledge of US/CA payroll and time management regulations and system requirements.• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to payroll software• Proficiency and understanding of how HR systems integrate with payroll systems, preferably with Workday as core HR• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Your preferred qualifications
• Project management skills and experience in leading system implementation projects an asset• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
