About the Role:

As a Partnerships Manager, reporting to the Zymewire Director of Sales, you will be instrumental in expanding our data capabilities and driving growth through strategic partnerships. You will build and maintain relationships with key vendors, focusing on securing unique and valuable data sources. You will manage contracts, mitigate risks, and collaborate with partners to optimize data outputs. 


What you'll be responsible for:

  • Establish relationships with strategic vendors and licensors primarily focused on data acquisition 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new partners
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor and licensor communications
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and licensing agreements, ensuring favourable terms and minimizing risk
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct due diligence on potential partners
  • Collaborate with partners to optimize data outputs and ensure data quality
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences
  • Provide regular updates on partnership progress and performance
  • Research new potential partners and data sources.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends
  • Conduct interviews with industry experts


What we’d love to see in your work history


Core Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in a scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, bioinformatics)
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex software systems
  • Familiarity with CRMs (eg. Salesforce) 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least 4 years experience working with SaaS products or in the biotech industry
  • Canadian Work Authorization


Preference will be given to candidates with the following

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as mixpanel
  • Familiarity with product management principles

Location: Work remote, or hybrid from our laid-back office (located in Toronto's Junction Triangle on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays). This position is open to candidates eligible to work in Canada or the UK. The working hours for this position must follow any timezone between Central Standard Time (CST) and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Salary: Canada: $85,000-$95,000 CAD per year
            UK: £45,000 - £50,000 per year
