About the Role
We’re looking for a Program Operations Manager, Partnerships to own and build the operating system behind Float’s partner ecosystem. You’ll play a key role in scaling how we work with card networks, transaction processors, card manufacturers, banks, technology partners, and more.
You’ll set up and run the cadences, scorecards, and incident processes that keep our programs healthy as we grow—from ensuring cards ship on time, to holding partners accountable to SLAs, to surfacing risks and opportunities before they become customer problems. You’ll work closely with leaders across Operations, Product, Engineering, Risk, Finance, and Support.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Owning the day-to-day operations of Float’s partner ecosystem for the programs with networks processors, card manufacturers, banks, technology partners, and more.
Designing and running recurring operating cadences with key partners (e.g., monthly/quarterly business reviews) with clear agendas, scorecards, and action tracking.
Defining and maintaining partner performance KPIs and scorecards (e.g., card manufacturing SLAs, decline and acceptance rates, incident frequency and severity) and using them to drive accountability and improvement.
Implementing and continuously improving incident intake, triage, root cause analysis, and remediation processes for partner-related issues.
Collaborating with Product and Engineering on partner-related changes and new integrations, ensuring operational readiness and clear ownership before launch.
Supporting contract and commercial negotiations with data and insight on performance, risk, and customer impact.
Leveraging AI and analytics tools to synthesize documents, surface patterns in incidents, and accelerate scorecard and process design.
Documenting partner processes, runbooks, and playbooks to reduce reliance on heroics and make partner operations scalable.
About You
Here’s what sets you up for success at Float:You Put Customers First, Always. You care deeply about delivering meaningful value. Whether you're building internal systems or partner scorecards, you're always thinking about how it impacts customers and their trust in Float.
You Act Like an Owner. You take responsibility for outcomes across the entire partner ecosystem, step up to challenges, and seek solutions proactively—doing what’s best for Float, not just your role.
You Think Big and Move Fast. You’re energized by building from 0 to 1. You’re not afraid to challenge how things are currently done, experiment quickly, and iterate as you learn.
You Constantly Learn and Grow. You’re hungry to deepen your understanding of payments, cards, and partner operations, and you use feedback and data to level up your craft.
You Raise the Bar. You care about doing things well and efficiently. You balance speed with rigor and always look for ways to improve how we work with partners.
You Win as a Team. You’re a generous collaborator who values communication, context, and shared wins. You bring clarity and calm to complex cross-functional work.
5–8+ years of experience in product operations, strategy & operations, partnerships operations, or similar roles, ideally in fintech, payments, cards, or other complex partner ecosystems.
Demonstrated experience running or significantly contributing to complex programs or vendor ecosystems (e.g., payments, logistics, marketplaces, financial services).
Robust analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills, coupled with proficiency in spreadsheets and analytics tools; familiarity with SQL or BI tools is a plus.
A track record of designing and implementing operational systems such as scorecards, SLAs, operating cadences, and incident processes that improved performance and reduced chaos.
Experience working closely with technical teams (Engineering, Product) to launch or improve partner integrations or programs.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience holding partners accountable while maintaining healthy, long-term relationships.
Hands-on experience using AI tools to speed up analysis, documentation, or process design (e.g., drafting runbooks, summarizing contracts, exploring data patterns).
Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and making decisions with imperfect information.
You’re primarily interested in a revenue / BD partnerships role rather than operational ownership.
You need close, day-to-day direction rather than working independently within a clear mission.
You’re not energized by process design, operational rigor, and detailed follow-through.
You’re seeking a highly predictable environment with stable systems already in place.
You’re skeptical of AI or prefer not to integrate new tools into your workflow.
