The Partner Development Representative (PDR) plays a critical role in expanding GroupBy's partner ecosystem.


Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this role will focus on identifying, qualifying, and engaging with ecommerce agencies that specialize in commerce platform integrations. The PDR will proactively reach out to agencies, build relationships, and generate qualified leads.


Working closely with members of the marketing team, the PDR will contribute to positioning GroupBy as the partner of choice for ecommerce agencies leading the way in the eCommerce Product Discovery space.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Key Responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Strategically identify and target potential agency partners specializing in ecommerce, focusing on those with a strong presence in Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce, Magento, and other relevant platforms
  • Develop and execute effective outreach strategies and cadences including email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and targeted events to engage potential partners
  • Create and maintain a robust database of potential partners within the CRM, ensuring accurate contact information and tracking progress effectively
  • Develop compelling value propositions and messaging to effectively communicate the benefits of partnering with GroupBy to agencies
  • Create and maintain a library of partner-facing materials such as presentations, case studies, and success stories to support partner enablement

  • Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency contacts, including account managers, developers, and business owners
  • Understand agency needs and pain points related to ecommerce search and product discovery
  • Position GroupBy as a valuable partner that can enhance their service offerings and increase their client's success

  • Lead Qualification and Handoff:

  • Qualify leads based on agency size, client portfolio, and potential for partnership
  • Schedule and facilitate introductory meetings between prospective agencies and GroupBy Partner executives
  • Accurately track all outreach activities and lead interactions in the CRM

  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and the evolving needs of the ecommerce agency landscape
  • Gather market intelligence and competitive insights to inform partner development strategies.

  • Program Support:

  • Assist in the development and execution of partner marketing campaigns and events.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the partner program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a B2B sales or business development role, preferably within the SaaS or technology industry
  • Strong understanding of the ecommerce landscape, including key platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, etc.) and industry trends
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Salesloft, etc.) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and a team player
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Proactive self-starter; resource
  • Positive, can do attitude
  • High collaborative
